Mrs. Eliana Martins is a distinguished legal luminary and passionate advocate for justice, with an illustrious career spanning over three decades. Called to the Nigerian Bar in 1987, she has consistently exemplified excellence, integrity, and an unwavering commitment to advancing the rule of law and defending the rights of the vulnerable.
A proud alumna of the University of Lagos, Mrs. Martins holds a Master’s Degree in Law (LL.M Hons.) and has further enriched her expertise through several advanced professional trainings both in Nigeria and abroad. Her career reflects a deep devotion to public service, mentorship, and institutional growth within the legal community.
A devoted member of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Mrs. Martins continues to contribute meaningfully to the development of the legal profession through active participation in professional and advocacy initiatives. Within the International Federation of Women Lawyers (FIDA) Nigeria, Mrs. Martins has been a driving force in advancing gender justice and empowering women and children. She currently serves as the Country Vice President/National President, having previously held the positions of National Secretary and National Publicity Secretary. Her longstanding dedication and impactful service have also earned her the status of a Life Member of FIDA International.
A seasoned mediator and conciliator, Mrs. Martins is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Mediators and Conciliators (FICMC), where she has served as Secretary, Vice Chairperson, and now Chairperson of the Lagos Chapter. As a respected member of the ICMC Training Faculty, she continues to shape the next generation of professionals in Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR), promoting peacebuilding and non-litigious approaches to conflict management.
